Woohoo, life accomplishments! You guessed it- I picked a college (George Fox University here in Oregon!) and, most importantly, finished my Luke Skywalker drawing! ^_^ I feel like such a slacker. So I've decided to pick up the pace a bit on my drawings.

In the meantime, a few curious Zachary Quinto fans, along with myself, went to see the new Star Trek movie (which is FABULOUS and loaded with lens-glare cinematography. ) and are slowly being converted into near-Trekkies. XD We've spent our weekends watching The Original Series of Star Trek on CBS.com, and after watching so many close-ups of William Shatner's immobile and resolute face-in-the-face-of-danger face, I got the crazy idea to draw it. My mum keeps ranting about how weird William Shatner is in real life and how crazy I am, which, naturally, makes me want to draw him all the more. The beginning of his sketch is in my new ID, and I'm super excited for it, because I've never been able to start a drawing with decent proportions, and I feel like I'm improving!

Oh, and I get my wisdom teeth out tomorrow, so we'll see if the confining pain gives me loads of time to draw, or it the drugs make that impossible.

I'd love to draw something from the recent film as soon as I can get my hands on it. Currently all I can find are low-quality screencaps, so I'll mostly likely have to wait until the DVD hits the shelves.
